Cottage Bungalows

Located in Santa Maria, these factory-manufactured California Craftsman style cottages will be senior apartments that the city has been needing for quite some time. The cottages are arranged on an infill site as duplexes and a few fourplexes. One of the duplexes has been reconfigured to serve as a central community center with a fitness room that doubles as a meeting room. The project aims to take advantage of the city's high density program to provide affordable housing in an otherwise single-family dominant neighborhood. Cottages are designed to be quaint and not feel overbearing on the small site. A plethora of trees and winding paths welcome seniors and their families to experience the site.

Watercolor style renders were made to present to Planning Commission. Dormers were suggested by the city for street oriented units.

Three Color Schemes are provided to offer some variety of color on the site and to add character to each unit.

Each unit is 1 bedroom / 1 bathroom with at least 1 unit-long party wall
