Prototype
In a series for Architecture Explorations Studio, Prototype shows the process of finding a unique wood-structural system that can be used in the competition Timber in the City. The booklet explores various ways of using a similar wooden-structure system to create a building that is highly expressive and catching to the eye. The prototype was then made into a thesis supported with diagrams and physical models. The craftsmanship remains high and structural-stability is light and playful. The booklet was designed with Kinfolk magazine as a guideline. Soft colors and a focus on text and imagery creates a booklet pleasing to the eyes and easy to understand and follow. Possibly one of my favorite editorial design and architectural pieces.
